Short version: some links on Hakata Life earn us a commission if you buy through them. It never costs you extra, and it never changes a verdict.

How it works

We participate in affiliate programs, including networks such as RevOffers and programs run directly by brands. When you click certain links and make a purchase, the brand pays us a percentage of the sale. The price you pay is the same either way.

What this does — and doesn’t — affect

• Commissions keep the site running. They pay for the products we order and the time research takes.
• They do not decide scores or rankings. Our methodology is the same for brands that pay us and brands that don’t.
• Some articles link to brands with no affiliate relationship at all. Some of our most-linked brands earn us less than brands we’ve rated lower.
• We do not accept payment for positive coverage, and no brand reviews our articles before publication.

How to recognize affiliate links

Buttons and product links in reviews are typically affiliate links. If you’d rather not use them, you can always go to the brand’s website directly — the review is just as useful either way.
