Independent, reader-supported reviews

Review Methodology

Every review on Hakata Life follows the same process. Here it is, so you can judge our verdicts on the merits.

The five things we score

  • Value for money. Not just the sticker price — the per-dose or per-serving math, what the subscription really costs by month three, and what the fine print adds.
  • Transparency. Does the brand publish ingredient amounts, lab reports, or program details, or hide them behind “proprietary blend” language and checkout walls?
  • Ordering & delivery. How the signup or checkout actually behaves, shipping speed, and whether the product arrives as described.
  • Customer policies. Refunds, cancellation, and subscription traps. A generous guarantee a customer can’t actually use doesn’t count.
  • Claims vs. evidence. We compare marketing claims against what the brand can support and against published research from bodies like the FDA, NIH, and peer-reviewed literature. We flag claims that outrun the evidence.

How a review gets made

We start from the brand’s own materials: pricing pages, FAQs, terms, published lab results. We cross-check against third-party sources — regulator databases, certification bodies, user reports on independent platforms. Where practical we order the product and keep notes on the full experience. Then we write the review, including at least one genuine drawback, because no product is for everyone.

Keeping reviews current

Pricing and product lines change constantly in this space. We re-check articles when readers or brands flag changes and during periodic sweeps. Each article reflects the best information we had at its last update; if you catch something stale, email contact@hakatalifes.com.

Independence

Affiliate commissions (disclosed here) never set a score. No brand sees a review before publication, no brand can pay to change one, and negative findings stay in the article.
